Things to do in Idöborg
We offer a wide range of activities at Idöborg, at sea and on the surrounding islands. Rent our nice kayaks and paddle out to Bullerö and visit Liljefors hunting lodge or paddle to Nämdö and visit Östanvik's farm and buy organic vegetables in the farm shop. If you are a beginner, you get an introduction before you go out and if you want, you can also rent with a guide. Back at Idöborg, you can end the day in the wood-fired sauna and with a dip on the sandy beach. In spring and autumn we often receive different yoga groups on the island. Sauna with panoramic views

Rent the new sauna with panoramic views of the bay. The sauna is suitable for groups of up to 20 people with lichens in four levels and a relaxation room where you can take a break from the hot sauna or the cold water. One towel per person is included and next to the sauna there is a ladies' and men's room with showers & toilet. When Strandbaren is open you can order food & drink which we set up in the relaxation room and other times we offer food & drink on request. The sauna is rented in passes of 2 hours and costs SEK 150 / person minimum SEK 600.
Try kayaking

Rent our kayaks for a shorter or longer trip. If you are inexperienced, we will help you with an introduction before you go out and if you want, it is also possible to rent with an instructor who also has guide knowledge about the history of Idöborg and the nearby islands.

Excursion to Bullerö
​
Not far from Idöborg, in the outermost sea band is Bullerö with a colorful history. Visit the old village with crofts from the end of the 18th century and Bruno Liljefors hunting lodge built in the beginning of the 20th century. During the summer you can hop on Stavsnäs Båttaxis daily trip to Bullerö and other times you can get there with your own boat or with Idöborg's kayaks. ​ Excursion to Nämdö
​
Take Waxholmsbolaget or our kayaks over to Idöborg's neighboring island Nämdö, one of Stockholm's archipelago's main islands. Get off at Östanvik's jetty and visit the small-scale farm and its farm shop and then continue on the hiking trail or gravel road south past the old church, and finish at Solvik's jetty where there is a grocery store, bakery and restaurant. Yoga
​
Participate in one of the yoga treats that are usually offered at Idöborg, especially weekends spring & autumn and a few times per summer. Most teachers are recurring and some have arranged over 20 retreats with us. It offers delicious vegetarian food, invigorating yoga in our Dojo with lake views and relaxing sauna baths. You book a place directly through the yoga teachers and you will find information and contact information in our calendar .
During the summer, morning yoga is held in collaboration with Clare Lindstrand on the Strandbaren wooden deck a couple of times a week.

Rent Idöborg for your wedding or party. We have 85 beds and from the season 2022 banquet floor with views of the sea and the sunset and room for 150 people. You rent with or without food & drink and have most of the island completely to yourself.

During spring and autumn, we receive day and overnight conferences of between 10-40 people. Conference in a beautiful archipelago environment and unwind in the sauna before dinner in Restaurant Strandbaren.

At the greenhouse by the large lawn below the White Villa there is a chest with various outdoor games for lending. Do not forget to leave everything in the same order as when you arrived.
