Swimruncamp - Sea experience in the Outer Archipelago

Outside Idöborg there is challenging swimming around cobs and skerries. If you want to run a swimrun, we have a track in the area. During the weekend we also make an excursion to the islands to the south (Ormskär, Brunskär, Brunskärs Trätskär), where it is possible to swim in narrow straits, canals, bays and lagoons.

The outer archipelago outside Nämdö offers fantastic opportunities for swimrun and swimming in open water.

Outside Idöborg there is challenging swimming around cobs and skerries and along  Long-cut rocks. If you want to run a swim run, we have a course over Långskär and  into the western part of Böteskobben and Kalvholmen, but many exciting  short swimming distances. Nämdö offers soft, varied paths, in primeval forest-like areas.

During the weekend we also do an adventure excursion to Skoboraden (Ormskär,  Brunskär, Brunskärs Trätskär) where it is possible to swim in cramped conditions  straits, canals, bays and lagoons, with shorter running distances over cliffs.

We have our base at Idöborg just outside Nämdö. There we live in a single room in  cozy house (several shared bathrooms and toilets), and full board. Breakfast in  peace and quiet outside or inside with beautiful views. We bring packed lunches  our adventures during the day. The newly built sauna with sea view will be one  nice relaxation after today's adventure. The dinner will be two dishes in  relaxing environment outside or inside. We are simply close to nature as well  when we are not training.

We train just outside and around Idöborg on Nämdö and in Skoboraden. When we  make our adventure excursion to the archipelago south of Idöborg we paddle in  about 45 minutes. If necessary, we also have transport assistance by boat.

We  keeps the group together and makes sure everyone is involved. The experience and  feeling good is what we are most looking for. Of course we train and  challenges us. We test new things and get tips and tricks about swimrun,  swimming and about training in the Archipelago.

The leader is Ulf Hausmann, who is a professional swim coach and expert  swimming and swimrun and Jonas Hållén who paddled and swam in the area in  many years and that helps us find the pearls among the islands in the area.

Prel. program (time indication is only holding times):

Wednesday 4 August:  Arrival after lunchtime by boat from Stavsnäs or Saltsjöbaden. Boat taxi can be arranged.   Welcome coffee and coffee at about 14:00  16: 00-18: 00 swim run with swimming focus, Idöborg and Långskär  19:00 Dinner

Thursday 5 August:  Breakfast 8:00 (7:40 morning stretch, light yoga on the pier)  9:30 calm paddling to Skoboraden (60 min).  10: 30-11: 30 OW swimming  11: 30-13: 00 lunch and chill  13: 00-15: 00 swim run with short runs and many swims  15:30 calm paddling to Idöborg  Relaxation and chill at Idöborg  18:30 Dinner

Friday, August 6: 

Breakfast 8:00 (7:40 morning stretch, light yoga on the pier)  9: 30-12: 00 Swim run on Nämdö with focus on trail running and shorter swims  12: 30-13: 30 lunch  14:00 -15: 00 Swim run / swimming around Idöborg / Långskär or return trip

Price: SEK 5,900 per person single room. SEK 5,000 per person double room.

Free cancellation until 15 days before, then 50%. SEK 3,000 is invoiced upon registration and the remaining amount is paid on site upon arrival. At least 6 participants for the camp to end, Max 18 participants

This includes:  Accommodation in single or double rooms. Full board. Welcome coffee, coffee on the bridge deck. Kayaks. Boat transport if needed for our trips. Two experienced and professional leaders who know the area, swimming and swimrun. All tours and all training.

This is not included: Transport to and from Idöborg. Boat taxi can be arranged for approx. SEK 260 return. Extra snacks or food you need during the day. Sauna with sea view (paid extra on site).

Your knowledge / requirements: You are an experienced swimmer and are comfortable in the water. No time or performance requirements. You can swim about 1 km non-stop swimming in open water. You are trained so you can manage our workouts and excursions that are between 2 and 3 hours  at a leisurely pace with breaks. It is possible to skip workouts or get help with a swimming line during swimming. You can run and are unharmed. You can adapt to the group so that everyone has the best experience possible.
