Om evenemanget
Scandiwild Island Retreat in the outermost part of Stockholm's archipelago
Indulge in four days of blissful retreat in the stunning Stockholm archipelago. Be inspired and rejuvenated by the calming wilderness and water at Idöborg, a privately owned island only one and a half hours travel time with public transport from central Stockholm. Practice yoga and meditation with experienced teachers, then explore the island by foot and the archipelago by boat, sea kayak or paddle board. Share healthy meals and enjoy relaxing massage in the beautiful surroundings. Expect to feel rejuvenated, inspired and calm - as well as stronger in mind and body - after the retreat.
Activate body and mind with daily yoga, mindfulness and meditation classes with views over the tranquil waters around Idöborg.
Take part in up to 4 hours of daily yoga, mindfulness and meditation led by Johanna Mörk Colden and Rachel Youds. The classes will take place in a room built of wood and glass, with uninterrupted views over the water. There will be a 2-hour session in the morning before a late breakfast brunch, and in the afternoon / early evening, before dinner. Supplementary sessions can be arranged directly with Rachel and Johanna during the retreat, including massage offered by Rachel. During your free time you can be as active as you want to be, rest or explore.
Take time out to relax in the natural beauty of the archipelago including daily access to the wood-fired sauna set beside the sea.
Take time to relax each day in the wood-fired sauna and swim in the calming Baltic waters - still warm as the summer draws to its end. Join Sarah on a daily early morning silent walk around the island to absorb the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings.
Explore the nature reserve and neighboring islands in the outer archipelago with a native.
Try sea kayaking or stand up paddle (SUP) with archipelago native, Andreas, in the beautiful waters around Idöborg or the stunning Bullerö nature reserve. Waxholmsbolaget's daily schedule of commuter ferries also allows the possibility for you to explore nearby islands, such as Nämdö, Bullerö and Sandhamn.
Enjoy fresh seasonal vegetarian food in great company.
Breakfast and lunch will be served in a relaxed buffet style, whilst dinner will be an opportunity for the full group to meet each day. Lunch and dinner is vegetarian, with a focus on local ingredients. Tea, coffee and fruit will be available between meals. All meals will be served in the dining room and on the veranda of the main house.
Accommodation
The accommodation is both in the main house and in cottages scattered across the island. The rooms are refurbished to a high level of comfort whilst keeping a rustic feel, with shared bathrooms. You can book either a single room or a twin room with shared occupancy.
